WHEN?: 04th June 16:30 o’clock
WHERE?: under Kennedybrücke Beuel
STUFF TO BRING?: Fahrrad, Maske & Schilder/Fahnen
The demonstration will start under the Kennedybrücke in Beuel. We will cycle trough Bergheim, Mondorf, Rheidt, Niederkassel, Lülsdorf/Ranzel and Langel. Two more bicycle demonstrations will start in Cologne and we will all meet at the Natorampe Langel.
After that we will bike together back to Bonn.
German-wide days of actions and why we demonstrate
✊🏽On 5th and 6th June there are the German-wide actions days “„Sozial- und klimagerechte Mobilitätswende jetzt!“ (a social and climate just transformation of transport now!) – in Cologne / Bonn we will even go to the streets on Friday with a big bicycle demonstration against the construction of the Rheinspange / A553.✊🏽
What will the Rheinspange cause?
More traffic in the towns on the left and on the right of the Rhine, on the highways in Bonn and on the „Tausendfüßler“/A565.
The projected highway across the Rhine in Niederkassel – no matter build as a tunnel or a bridge- is a concept of old times. It is at the expense of the people, climate and nature. Both the Rhine area as well as the groundwater will be affected by the construction. We do not need any more highways, we need more biking lanes, walkways and a better public transport.
